Re: Warming up to CS:S
Maybe i'm the only one who's seen vafa's reflexes but I'm guessing he can buy faster clicking on everything with his mouse than most people can using the keyboard.
My normal buys:
T side:
b42 (ak), b62(kevlar), b64(nade)
CT side:
b31 (tmp), b66(kit), b62(kevlar), b64(nade)
I always buy a nade as the last thing, because then for following rounds when you push br (buy - rebuy previous) it will buy everything you can instead of just buying a tmp and not getting the kit or armor. It's weird but that's just how it works.

Re: Warming up to CS:S
Well, I use both keyboard and mouse for the quickest way. You can always click the first button instead of having your fingers search for it because by the time you go from the b, for buy, to the letter for a pistol nade or what ever you want you could probably click it. Then use a number to get the item you want and then you need to remember all the numbers in order. I'm not sure I always click the first button because now I do not think about what I do, but I am certain that I always use keyboard for the actual buy.
The A S D F way is by far the quickest if you save what you always buy.

Re: Warming up to CS:S
Like someone said before, buy binds ftw!! I use the number pad since I really don't use those keys for anything else in CS:S hehe.
bind "KP_HOME" "buy awp"
bind "KP_UPARROW" "buy deagle"
bind "KP_PGUP" "buy ak47; buy m4a1"
bind "KP_LEFTARROW" "buy m3"
bind "KP_5" "buy vesthelm; buy vest"
bind "KP_RIGHTARROW" "buy mp5"
bind "KP_END" "buy flashbang"
bind "KP_DOWNARROW" "buy smokegrenade"
bind "KP_PGDN" "buy defuser; buy hegrenade"

agreed there is really no reason for anyone to switch away from what they are used to, it's fucking buy time for a reason. Last time I checked I could buy and listen at the same time.
