New Steam CSS hacker

Just giving everyone a warning. There is a steam hacker going around hacking accounts. He uses a link to key log your computer. I believe the link is something like "css.provideo". something.

His name is Cody. He has hacked a couple ttp community members accounts. His goal is to take over your steam account and have you get other people to go to his website. Make sure you are not doing this. I know this is common since for most people but for our younger members maybe this will help.

He is trying to get accounts from WOW and CSS low digit accounts. Tell everyone on your friends list and do not click on any links even from your friends.

So people know not to click on it. That is not the exact website, but it is something like that has the words css and provideo something in it. I can take edit it real quick just in case somebody does click on that.

Basic steam security:

Do not click on links from PM's, even from your friends. You never know who is actually there.

Make sure your email is verified. Go to settings in steam and next to your email address if will tell you whether it is verified or not. If it is not, there will be a link to verify. Very simple. Do it.

Get a password vault for your steam account. By doing this, you do not type your password,it is copy and pasted. This means you can not be key logged.

Having your email verified means that any changes to your account must be made through your email. Yes, they can steal your password, but it cannot be changed unless they have access to your email. The only way they can get email access is with a key logger. The password vault will take care of this.

This is very easy to do and means that you will not have your account stolen and possible VAC banned (as those who steal the accounts typically hack as well). Be warned. Your account being stolen is NOT, and I repeat, NOT an excuse if you get a VAC ban. If is your responsibility to keep you account secure.
