Registration

Anybody know why sometimes hit registration appears to fluctuate from "day-umm! where'd I get all that?" to "Day-umm! I can't hit shit if we're both standing still!"?

I am curious if it is on my PC or if it is just some inexplicable phenomenon that happens intermittently.

If there are contributing factors (player ping and general server activity, for examples) that can be identified by utilizing trend analysis software, or some other data trap/record utility, they may be interesting to expose.

well me personally i still believe if they ran the servers at 100tic which i dont think is hard and even if it "does nothing" it also doesnt hurt to run them at 100tic but i believe that would improve it. When the 24/7 was set at 100tic i felt a huge difference in hit reg and i also feel if the server were restarted from time to time theyd run smoother as far as hit reg goes as well. and finally i also believe that latency and choke play a big affect in hit reg but at that point thats on the computer and how close u are to the server.

This was discussed FOREVER stealth. All it did was give people terrible choke.

yes as he did say it did hurt. I think Registration is an urban myth i seldom have a problem with it. maybe once every 100 times i play

I think it's a myth too....or at least it's not as bad as people say.

m choke was fine with 100tic...Thats all im saying. I kno its been discussed over and over and over again and im not gonna bring it up again thats my final statement on that.

registration is an excuse. It is about your mind. Your hands. Your shoulders. Your wrists. Your reaction. I play and watch players all the time. It's all about perception. Bad reg = bad eyes.

If you have a legit connection/PC problem it will show up. Either in excessive choke, latency, or FPS. I am tired of hearing the Reg excuse. OMGZERS I PREZZES the CLICKER SHOOTZ AND IT DIDNT KILLZOR!

there time where the guys is still and im still and i shoot a scout at his head and he don't die!!!!! after like 5 rounds at his head and not a single round hit. i believe its the reg. I notice if you shoot at the neck you get a head shot. :1

That's hit boxes, not registration.

hmm Interesting...Im sure the hitboxes play a HUGE part as well, considering hit boxes in CSS Follow the player instead of Being the player then if u shoot at the player ur techniqly shooting at a ghost because his hitbox is actually behind him.
