A rediculously quick study shows TTP aces prefer the ak47

Maybe this was already posted somewhere, but i found it interesting. Favorite weapons on ttp hl2stats are determined by ratio of kills to weapons. Out of the top 25 players on ttp, only one has the m4a1 as their favorite weapon. This is j-rag. He is currently ranked 24th. The top 23 players prefer the ak. I prefer the m4 right now, but maybe i should rethink my habits and begin using the ak more often. I found it interesting that Firiona Vie, the 25th ranked player had the 12 gauge shotgun as the favorite weapon.

I bet you can't wait for more crackpot studies, hyjinx, gimmicks, philandering philanthropy, tom foolery, and could we ever forget kluckin.

AK is just the solid weapon of preference in any CSS environment. But you analyze only the top 27 score. A good deal of these players do not represent TTP as a whole. I am defintely partial to the AK, but rock the MP5 a whole lot. Top killers get money. Top killers buy Rifles. Tops killers kill more with those rifles.

Consider the top time played as well. You may find a very different result.

When looking at the top 25 players in terms of kills, there are only 5 people who do not prefer the ak. The highest total rank for kills for a person without an affinity for ak's is indaface at 14.

When examining the top 25 players in terms of time played, there are only 8 people in the top 25 that do not prefer the ak. Players 2 and 3 in this ranking system both prefer guns other than ak's.

I understand that i am not including the entire ttp community in my study with my small sample sizes. i was merely pointing out that the vast majority of ttp's highly ranked players prefer the ak.

Yeah, it is a superior weapon for a reason. If you ever have shot 7.62 in RL its just simply power. Nothing compared to some of the big boy heavy weapons, but the mobile weapon of choice across the entire world is the AK. It is the rifle of the century.

because it's cheap and reliable. not because it's a death machine laser gun as it is in CSS.

Oh, how I wish CSS market worked properly.

My other reasoning would be that MOST of the players that play here enough to make top 25 of any list are true TEAMplayers, so they take the objective side. Since we play de maps way more than cs maps in MOST cases that is the T side, where you can buy...wait for it...an AK, and not an M4.

There's a lot of things that need to work properly in CSS. Oh and screw the AK I'd rather have an AUG or a galil...or a shotty

I know that the reason I use an AK over an M4 is because a headshot with an AK is a kill 100% of the time. An M4 will leave you doing 89 or 91 damage a lot of the time. Even when I am on CT side I will drop an M4 to pick up an AK unless I know that I need the silencer for one reason or another.

With that being said, I love how the M4 sprays. If I'm defending B site on D2 I would rather have an M4 over an AK every time. Just hold down the trigger, fire into that tunnel, and watch your kills go up.

I'm a galil man, myself. But straight to sig's and aug's when the money's right.

AK's and M4's are dishonorable. Just like the awp. And automatic shotguns.
