Your Team vs TTP's Best
This is not a real tournament. It’s just a thread for fun.
It’s your team versus TTP’s Best (I just picked the top10 according to the HLStats – the top10 could easily be chosen using a different method).
Rules
- It will be 10 v 10.
- You pick the nine other TTP players to form your team.
- The current top10 TTP according to HLStats (http://texasteamplayers.hlstatsx.com...ranking_view=0) are…
1. Vafa
2. Pimp
3. Cukulata
4. Scrum
5. Xtreme
6. Toker
7. Jambi
8. Manno
9. Ace
10. Raush
- You choose the map. It must be a map hosted on TTP.
- Each team will play one side for 15 rounds, then switch play the other side for 15 rounds.
- You pick which side you want your team to play as first.
- Winning team is determined by most round wins. In case of a tie, a second map will be played. You choose the second map.
- You choose whether awp/autos is allowed.
- You choose whether bunny hopping is allowed.
- You choose whether friendly fire is allowed.
- If you wish, you may instead change it to a 5 v 5 (in which case you would face TTP’s top5, and ranks 6-10 would be accessible to join your roster).
How would you win?
- Who are the nine other TTP players you would want on your team?
- Why choose these players?
- What map would you choose?
- What map would you choose for tie break?
- Which side would you play first?
- Why choose these map settings?
- Would you allow awp/autos?
- Would you allow bunny hopping?
- Would you allow friendly fire?
- Why choose these settings?
- What would be your strategy/strategies to win?
o Pistol round
o Save rounds
o Gun rounds
o Other/etc
I’m interested to see what people come up with. Be as general or specific as you’d like (it’s a lot of questions… I won’t be heartbroken if you don’t answer them all). If you’re in the top10 and would like to participate, please feel free (just replace your spot with the person who is ranked 11th, su-san). Have fun!I broadcast gaming videos on Twitch TV and my finished videos are on YouTube! Recently I shoutcasted the Counter Strike Tournament at PAX Prime 2012!

Re: Your Team vs TTP's Best
Cool idea Rob :9
Top 10 team looks pretty good (although i only made it in by being 4 points over su-san, and she's probably better than me) but I think there are teams here at TTP that could give it a run for it's money. It's just a matter of putting together innovative callers with a solid group of regs.
If I put together a team to take on the top 10 it would look something like this:
1. Rob
2. PootieTang
3. SmokenSherriff
4. iDunn
5. T_Rattler
6. Su-San
7. Kyle
8. Wishbear
9. SawEmOff
10. Master_Magus
There are a lot of variations on a team like this that could give the top 10 a good fight.
Pootie and Smoken are both excellent shot callers and with a group of team players like that it's going to be hard to stop them. Everybody on that list does their best to help the team, and all of them use their mics very well when necessary.
For a map - I would like to play an intense game on train. That map has the potential for so many good calls when everybody listens and knows what they are doing. With a 10vs10 situation I find it really hard to hold either site, and it's always a lot of fun trying to get the defuse before the bomb goes boom.
I would have no problem with allowing bunny hopping, but it's not very conducive to a 10 man rush - So i really think TTP settings would be best for this size of a match. I would also go with no AWP/auto. In my opinion awps are no problem on a 5v5 situation, but 10v10 they become overpowered very quickly. Any idiot can blindfire into smoke and hit at least one person out of a group of 10 (examples being going boat on port, or short on D2). Get 2 or 3 people awping on a team and the problem just becomes worse.
I'm looking forward to seeing other people's suggestions

wishbear is an excellent shot caller, so are rob and sheriff. team has a good blend of traits and would give any team a run for it's money... may even be better than the top 10...

1. Vafa

3. Cukulata
4. Scrum
5. Xtreme
6. Toker
7. Jambi
8. Manno
9. Ace
10. Raush
11. Unum
D2. No awps/autos. No b-hopping. I'm pretty sure I win...
I put myself 11th just so that I would be apart of the winning team rofl. That doesn't happen a lot

My team vs. "TTP's best" would look something like this
1. T_Rattler
2. Master Magus
3. idunn
4. Kokes BWP
5. THATriggerhappy
6. Rob
7. Bravo
8. Greyvee
9. MadMax
10. Luker
I could easily fill any gaps above with Pootie, fly, Indaface, Senses . . .
Map would be Pira, no auto/awp, and TTP rules because honestly, that's the only way I can play anymore. We would easily give the "Top 10" a run for their money.

Re: Your Team vs TTP's Best
My team would be:
1. Vafa (shot caller, Rush Specialist, Captain)
2. Mafia (Flank specialist, clutch specialist)
3. Rob (Rush Specialist, strategy expert)
4. Smokensherriff (Rush Specialist, strategy expert)
5. Bunni (Sniping Specialist)
6. Wishbear (Flank Specialist, Rush Specialist, strategy expert)
7. Space Cowboy (Rush Specialist, strategy expert)
8. Oni-Scout (snipe specialist, defensive specialist)
9. Bravo (Flank Specialist, Clutch Specialist)
10. Cyanide (Defensive specialist)
Now, there are A LOT of players that may be better than these players or not, but I feel this team gives me a good balance of what I need to win on most maps. I have my rushers, my flankers/slow play specialists, my clutch guys, snipers and everyone is well versed in all strategy. There aren't too many chiefs and everyone knows their place/role. Id be interested in using this team on Port....gives me everything I need to dominate the map!
