    Since we had to do the server rebuild, I haven't put it back on there... It's the same game play that goes on in the regular servers.

    I will try and get it back up and going for the weekend after QuakeCon. I have too much shit to do in the mean time.

    Ok... While at QuakeCon, I did some thinking and I consulted with Vafa, Mafia, and Iravedic0. We seem to think this will be a good idea.

    So while at QuakeCon, and before we started the CS:S tournaments, I needed to warm-up. So I searched around in the browser and saw a GunGame server going. I hopped on and realized how much I missed it. The only problem with GG, is the fact that it is not team oriented... at all. So we thought to ourselves, why not turn the SNF server into a GunGame server and have it run from Friday night, all the way to Sunday night. We also thought about the team oriented stuff. What if we did GunGame on regular maps, and when somebody plants the bomb.. they level up. If the bomb goes off, the whole T team levels up. Vice versa with the defuse. If the CT's defuse, the team levels up. There are other things we talked about as well to try and make it team oriented.

    So right now, I'm installing a fresh instance of CS:S and Mafia and I will try and get this all setup by this coming weekend. And yes, it will still be Reservists Only.

    That sounds like a hugely epic win. I, for one, am all for this. The SNF server is both rarely used, and only open for a small period of time. Doing this sounds like a great move, and I know that there are plenty of people who would love a TPG gun game server.

    Should put up the actual times that the server will be available, once it is up and running.

    One last thing, the Ts probably shouldn't be leveled up for a plant. Levels should be only given on explode and defuse basis. Having the plants be levels give the Ts a huge advantage, as they have 2 ways to level while the CTs only have one. Just saying.

    The server will go up automatically every Friday night at about 7pm and will automatically shutoff Sunday night at midnight or something. It will all be automatic.

    The whole T team will not level up on a plant, just the PERSON who planted it. The whole team will level up if the bomb actually goes off. Trust me, we are still working on all of this and nothing is really set in stone (the way the point/level system is going to work).

    I suggest reverse gungame. Start with good weapons and as you do better you drop down to a lower gun. Reverse gungame takes so much more skill and is much more competitive than just out gunning your opponent. Teams will almost always be even. As one team starts to dominate, they quickly get out gunned and will eventually take losses.

    Just my two cents. Let me know what you think.
