Armor w/helmet

I started doing this little trick awhile ago and noticed I ended up accumulating A LOT of money over time. I was in the habit of rebuying helmet and armor every round, even when I still had 90 armor left. The most armor I ever get taken away in a single round is about 60 or so, so there isn't a point in rebuying it if I survived the previous round and still had a lot of armor left. I don't know if this is a myth or not but I've heard if you get hit in the head while you have a helmet on it gets "knocked off" and you no longer have a helmet. I guess if that did happen the helmet symbol at the bottom would be gone.

Just a little tip to try out if you buy armor like hotcakes and never thought about this

i dont like getting 1 shotted with mp5 from accross the map, so i always buy helmet+armor, even if its at 99%.

i buy the helmet simply so the teammate behind me shotting my head doesnt shake my screen

I mostly buy just the vest...and I re-buy it if it drops below like 70. I do buy Vest + Helm frequently but I mostly buy just Vest. I bought vest + helm one time (on d2) and and I got dinked with 1 bullet from DD (I was a T) and my HP went down to 1 and my Head Armor was at 100. I still don't know wtf that was, but sometimes, to me, it seems like Head Armor doesn't protect against as much damage as Vest alone does....idk.

My fav is when i get hit by a grenade and my hp drops to like 40, but my armor is at 100. Gotta stop buying that off brand crap I guess.

I always get helmet plus armor. I don't rebuy it until it drops to about 50 .

Armor and helmets are just as effective when they have 100 or 30. So don't waste your money re-buying every round. In fact, even when I survive many many rounds and go 17-0, I still have plenty of armor so I have never had to rebuy it because it 'ran out'.
