I think the best maps to choose for this would be ones that are less played because people aren't familiar with the maps. Once more people learn the maps, they start to like them more and maybe we'll get some more playtime on them.
    We can do better.

Agreed. That has always been a problem. The least played maps come up and people leave because they don't know the maps. They claim the hate the maps or it kills the server, well that is usually only because half the people don't know the map and then one side tends to get rolled over and over again.

If people didn't like said maps, they wouldn't have won the votes.

I voted. Thanks for setting this up.
I broadcast gaming videos on Twitch TV and my finished videos are on YouTube! Recently I shoutcasted the Counter Strike Tournament at PAX Prime 2012!

While this can be true, I partially disagree.

I'm hoping that these podcasts can be slightly more in depth than the simple "turn left out of spawn to make it to B site "
It honestly takes 1 minute in spectator mode to learn any CSS map, it takes hours upon hours to perfect it. I hope to give advice to help some of our up-and-comers that will actually enable them to make it to the top and really perfect their play.

I basically learned CSS here at TPG, with more guidance I feel like I could have become a more effective player long before I hit the 700 hour mark (which is around the time I felt I could hold my own around here).

While we will certainly cover the basics, I would also like to give specific advice for playing certain parts of the map. Information like that is more helpful if you have some idea how you would play that spot, or you could visualize what we are talking about. For this reason, I feel that some of the more popular maps would be a great place to start - we can branch out from there.

Although I do freaking love train
    I miss you guys....-tczyl2-png

    Re: CSS Podcasts Map discussion

I voted maps that are chaotic so a few spots could be mentioned. Like on chateau on T side once you get in the site I used to be extremely confused where to hide for both sites.

So I voted chateau, ltemplep, piranesi, cbble, and port

    Re: CSS Podcasts Map discussion

I vote for Piranesi because we play it a lot and it has a lot to talk about.

Season, many players new to TPG have never played season. We play it a lot, and it should be explained.

D2 for obvious reasons. It is played a ton. The calls are known to most players but execution and the little things can be explained.

Honorable Mention* Lost temple, the splits are very interesting. it has cool spots to boost and hide.
