Let me just tell you this, there is NO WAY to erase your config file. I erased everything, re-installed cs and steam, reformatted my computer, and everything still the same and i have the same config file so...

Got the solution for ya mALK!

1. Open Steam interface
2. Go to View -> Settings
3. Go to the "Download + Cloud" tab.
4. At the way bottom, uncheck "Enable Steam Cloud sync..."
5. Then, go delete your cfg folder found at:

My Computer -> Local Disk -> Program Files -> Steam -> steamapps -> ACCOUNT NAME -> counter-strike source -> cstrike

6. Open Steam interface again
7. Right-click on Counter-Strike: Source
8. Choose "Properties"
9. On the bottom, choose "Set Launch Options..."
10. Paste this in there:

 -autoconfig

11. Restart Steam

Then lauch CS:S! Enjoy!

You are very welcome. As for your question, place the config into your cfg folder and rename it to "autoexec.cfg". Then when you load CS:S, it should load. If it doesn't, open your console and put in "exec autoexec.cfg", then it should work.

I've been having the same problem with reseting my config to default... I've tried evrything that you guys have suggested and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?
