My Personal Experience within TTP

Good day to one and all,

My name is Will "buhbyyy" Anderson, 27 year old PA in Springfield, MO and a newer visitor to the TTP community. Today I was banned for commenting, as everyone else was, on a recent AWP vote. I simply have a few thoughts, and opinions to convey to the masses.

First of all, I appreciate these servers are owned by TTP and recently even inquired on a reserved slot. When I first discovered these servers, my thoughts were nothing short of positive. It was an outstanding place to play the game and associate with other gamers who enjoy playing a pub and accomplishing a goal on either side of the gun.

After a few months, I have discovered the following; there are two servers for CS:S, and I believe they point of these servers is to have one dedicated for those who do not enjoy the AWP, and another for those who enjoy the tactical and sometimes necessary (depending on the map) advantage of the AWP. I feel it is also important to note that there is a reason the greatest leagues currently in business employ the use of the AWP. It simply is part of the game that when we are new to the game, or we are not very good at the game, despise. However, with that philosophy employed across a larger spectrum, do we not equally hate flashbangs? Do we not envy those who can fire off the quick one deag to destroy an opponent. Gentlemen, this is part of the game, a part in which at some point, we all had to learn and more importantly, utilize.

I believe firmly these servers exist to provide an unmatched experience in team player gaming. I know I do not speak for myself on this matter. Then it is becoming more and more evident we have admins that lack the knowledge, experience, and maturity level to conduct themselves as representatives of TTP. I am not attempting to offend anyone, but I am sure there will be a crybaby or two in response to this post. I have been an admin for servers, leagues and have owned two gaming leagues for alternate games. What I was banned for this afternoon is in a simple word, pathetic. When I see what goes on in these servers and what is allowed to transpire based on what I can only describe is favoritism, it questions my desire to support this organization.

Note probably the most important thing, I literally have 16 steam accounts, in fact as soon as I am done with this post, I will log into another account and rejoin the server in which I was banned. I am posting this and copying it in an email to those who are responsible for these fine servers in hopes it will spark concern into what is being allowed to transpire on the servers they have worked so hard to maintain. I apologize for the length, although I do feel this was a necessary post. Good day to all.

Now about the AWP votes. If a player on the server requests an awp vote, the admin is REQUIRED to throw it up, whether he wants to or not. The admin isn't banning the AWP, the majority vote determines that. We do understand that we have 2 CS:S servers, one of which is no AWP/Auto. The fact of the matter is, when one or two people start AWPing, the next thing you know... you have 5-6 people on each side AWPing away while ZERO teamplay is taking place and the objectives aren't being complete. We rush a lot on these servers, and when you have that many AWPs just standing around in spawn, it kills everything.

Nobody pushes and it becomes a spawn camp fest. We have thought about putting limits on the # of AWPs per side, but that would cause more problems than it would fix. You would have people bitching and complaining that they should have the AWP because they are better, etc.. Again, nothing gets accomplished.

I'm not going to go further into this discussion because there are already 5000000 posts on this subject. The search tool, it works wonders.

BTW, we will keep banning all accounts until this is resolved. Trust me, we will find you... People do it all the time, and they lose... EVERY time. I would suggest waiting it out until we get this resolved. It would be in your best interest, trust me.

If you really want to play this little game, I can ban your IP from even TRYING to connect to our servers, and even webserver. Ball is in your court, play by the rules, or get thrown to the curb like every other chump.
