Shorter round times?
Just thought I'd make a thread about this. We were discussing it in game tonight. I don't know if this is something that's been brought up before, but a 3 minute round time seems rather long. People tonight were talking about how it should be lowered to 2 or 2:30.
What does everyone else think about it?
Sorry if this has been discussed before.-shade

I'm a fan of the current time limit. To me, it's just a good mix of being short enough that I rarely feel like the game is just dragging on, and being long enough to allow slow plays to really test the patience of cts and, in general, be pretty effective.
2 minutes is way too short imo...Would put too much of an emphasis on just flat out rushing all the time. 2:30 might be ok though...But like I said, I'm still a fan of the current limit.

Re: Shorter round times?
I would be in favor of a shorter round time. If you think about when a full out rush to the bombsite is performed and executed the right way, the round lasts less than a minute to begin with. The only time the clock is a factor is on slow plays, in which case most teams sit around to the 220 or 2 minute mark, and rounds are done less than a minute later anyways. It really wouldnt affect the situation here that much anyways.

Re: Shorter round times?
I say change roundtime to 2:30, but increase freezetime to 15 seconds. There has been numerous times where a call is defaulted to a "slow play" because there wasn't enough time for a detailed call to be made. I remember when it was increased to 10 seconds, to see if it would help at all, and it did. But I think 15 would help even more.
