Re: Disappointing
so true dex, and that definitely happens. i've been on both sides of that coin and it can suck.
but not nearly as often as roughly equally skilled teams, one of which has players that continue to make simple mistakes that cost them the game.
think of it like an nfl footlball game. any team can win on any given sunday. both teams have multi-million dollar qb's, recievers that run sub 4.4's, linebackers that can stop a moving car.
but the perennial losers are the guys that can't seem to get it right, have poor gameplans, use the wrong weapons, buy at the wrong times, can't use their nades right or not at all, and/or play selfishly for their own gain. while the other team either executes perfectly, or executes even marginally well enough to make the difference each round, 15 times in a row (or however many to win).
that's not skill, that's either being outplayed, or just being stupid.Last edited by (2)manno; 11-03-10 at 03:20 PM.

Players must also realize when they join the server and there is a situation like this: Inferno, 7-4 Ts are winning and the teams are even. You join the game and look at the scoreboard(Which is what you should always do before joining a team) and you notice its 7-4, but teams are even and the CTS are about to win this next round by a landfall. Most players will be like "oh i'm going to join the losing team, CT" This IMO is wrong. You will be joining the side with the better advantage on this map, the score is now 7-5, and CTs are one player up on the Ts. The match ends 15-7. I've seen it happen so many times.
Just because one side is losing when you join the server does not automatically mean that this is the losing side. Take a second to figure out which team is going to actually need your help. CT side inferno already has the camping site advantage so you should not stack CT unless the score is a blowout.Last edited by Mr_Blonde_OPS; 11-03-10 at 02:53 PM.

imo this when when you just hit 5. Unless you wanna spec a round or two and find out how things are really going thats the only real unbiased way to do it. I almost always hit 5 anways...which for some reason seems to lead to playing ct alot(prolly cuz most of the regs join t without looking), but regardless auto choose is what I almost always do unless one of the teams is getting their ass whipped, and I really don't see any reason to pick a side for any other reason.

I personally never pick auto select. I think it just gives a bull shit excuse for players who auto select onto the easy side/winning side of a map. I think we are all smart enough to make our own decisions and not have to press 5. Everyone should know how TPG works and what rules we enforce dealing with teams. Players should only choose auto-select at the beginning of the map...imo.

Re: Disappointing
oooorrrrrr you as a player should move over. Admins arn't the only ones that can move people, they're more than capable of moving themselves. It's way more disappointing when players don't take the initiative to move and help the losing side.
There are many players[regulars included] that will not take the initiative.
Taking the initiative could be calling[I was on de_inferno w/ a few regulars, not gonna name them, and none of them were calling, and they been playing here way longer than I have.
Taking the initiative can also be to switch sides and help the other side out, like adretheon said. The admins aren't here to hold your hand. I bitch people out all the time when they don't follow the call or bitch about 'why should i follow the call' i remember I raged on this kid in de_port infront of everyone the split-second he bitched about it. No admin needed to say anything. Cause regulars on the server should set the standards of play and not just point fingers.
Where this 15-3 thing comes to a cross-road is this - de_nuke, 15-3 T's winning. Whats wrong with that? One, its CT sided to hell, Two, Teamplay occured and the opposing team couldn't adapt QUICKER than our team. I don't see why anyone should be swapped over. The CT side filled up first before T side, so I think the CT players should take what they wanted, an ass beating.
When its the OBJECTIVE side [changes depending on map] stomping the OPPOSING side, I don't see why anyone should be swapped. But if its vice versa and the objective side isn't gettin calls made etc than by all means.
Of course every situation is different and can only be evaluated at that exact moment for best clarity, but all in all, it comes down to regulars stepping up, and showing everyone else what its all about. How do you expect new players to know how we roll when you don't wanna make the calls/set the example.
*Auto selecting at beginning of map is a good way to cause issues. "Why you playing the easy side?" - "I auto selected!" when the player that autoselected to the easy side could have easily just chose the harder side. Auto-select is over-rated. A player knows which side he needs to play on, which is the objective side, or the side opposing a team full of stacked-skill players.

Re: Disappointing
So, You specifically say that we as regulars shouldnt point fingers, yet all u did in that first paragraph is talk about how you rage on people/specific people for not following the call. Admins SHOULD be the ones to say something to people who arent following the call, You Shouldnt, regulars arent here to police the servers, thats why we have admins. Of course its cool when the regs are like Yo dude get with the program, But as far as raging on someone over mic chat w.e it may be, You shouldnt be doing any of that, that is not Setting any standards as you would put it, it only shows how much of a prick you are. If you're having that big of a deal with players not following the calls instead of raging on them you should message the admin, or instead of on your mic say something in global chat in hopes the admin/admins will see it.
