quick question

So i recently bought and installed windows 7. had to for some reason completely reinstall steam and css. Now, everytime the server changes map i have to redownload every mp3 file. Its rather annoying. Anyone know how to fix it. I've tried cl_allowdownload 0 but that doesn't seem to work.

don't think it's because of win7. It just started happening yesterday or the day before for me.

Under options, Multiplayer, on the bottom right is a drop down box to change the setting. Think it's cl_allowdownload "nosounds" or something similar if you want to use the console command

think it was a server update actually, I keep redownloading some mp3s too and I heard Vimbyy say something about it as well. keep seeing MGMT - electric feel

It was a Steam cloud issue i believe. I havent seen the files "download" for a couple days now.

im still getting them. Every map change, I have to redownload all the mp3's. Not sure if theres a file im missing to keep it from doing this.

I run windows 7 32bit and it used to happen to me when i started playing again recently. What i did i went to options, multiplayer, and clicked disabled download custom content, worked for me.

If you do that, it won't download custom maps.
