Re: How it all began, Your first map do you remember it?
1999 with Beta 2. Probably Assault or Dust.
I was playing Quake Team Fortress mod & had watched all these TF players jump to CS. It didn't sound interesting, so I just stayed put playing Mega TF (a mod of a mod!). I got into it big time, pubbing hour after hour.
After that, I started playing at LAN parties & was introduced to "TACTICS" after being invited to play for a team. From there, I formed my own teams, played in several leagues online (CAL-O/IM/M) & major LAN events/tournies (CPL/Lethal Gamers/QuakeCon/etc) winning money, even became a CAL-O SEMI-FINALIST (lol)! I used to travel between OKC/DFW/HOU in LAN tournies.
Then quit playing 1.6 in 2004 (after the SteamIDs became required for CAL), when I bought my house & there was no high speed internet & I basically quit online gaming cold turkey right after the release of Battlefield Vietnam/Battlefield2. Then Aug 2010, my old lan party cronies were talking about going to QuakeCon. I figured "WTF, I'll go, just need a new PC". $1500 later . . . here I am, back in the depths of my addiction now on CS:S!

LOL first time I ever got into CS was at Luker's house on his computer because I didn't even own one. We were taking turns and it was I think De_dust cs 1.5 I loved it so much i had to go and get my first computer. and I sucked for like 2-3 months then I started doing leagues getting competitive.
