If that is true, then at least that's some, which is better than none. This thread is worthwhile.
    We can do better.

    Re: Newbies

I try to tell them stuff, I'm a newbie too, 2 months on TPG. :3.

But I try to help people left and right, keeping the SGa and DoD name good. :3
Australian-I feel for ya bro gaming on a piece of shit you should be twice as good at any game you play. Thats really really a scary thought. Part of me does not want you to get a new rig.

this was more pointed towards the regs to show some patience with them...we got our asses stomped on D2 the other day because it was me Candide and Smokey with 8 people who had never played at TPG before...we got stomped but they finally started figuring it out about 12 rounds in and were listening to the calls for the most part.

Yeah your right, and I'm glad someone finally mentioned something about it which is also good for the regs and newbies. It just takes time and alot of teaching which I dont mine doing.

    Re: Newbies

i rarely get on a new players ass until i see a clear pattern after instruction.

what pisses me off, are the guys that know better who figure since some noob is getting away with it, they can play ignorant too.

... what i'm cautioning is mistaking that "attitude" directed at what a reg & noob are doing together (or not doing), as being directed at the noob.

Hey! Depending on what and how much I've had to drink, IMANOOOOOB!

Seriously, I have been trying to stay a bit chill when the new guys get "creative" during a round. I was insta-banned by an admin in my (now) clan. He banned me for mocking his calls. The reason I was mocking his calls was due to the typical ass-beating that T's take on Cobble. I followed the call up mid to my death-n-ban while holding my mic open saying "c'mawn guys...its off to the sausage grinder for yet another CT grind-fest"! I guess the admin was mad from us getting slaughtered 7 rounds in a row. Either way, I have figured out how to let the caller give it his all. Sooner or later, either the caller will release his gavel, or, he'll get his can of whoop-ass open and turn the game around.

If you get pissed at a failing strat-caller, be nice about hinting some quick ideas. A mature caller will listen if you don't assault him.

It is also a helpful gesture, if you die early in a round, to watch the enemy movement as the round runs. report any patterns SUCCINCTLY to the caller.

    My 2-cents.
