To have your sig work, you have to upload it to a site first, personally I use
www.imageshack.us

After you have it uploaded, copy and paste the direct link (url) of the image, copy and paste it in your profile sig section- (I assume you know where this is)
And to make it actually show up, put [img] tags around it, like so.

Today I logged into Steam for the first time in months and discovered that I have CS:S but never played it. It must have come with HL2, which I was hooked on for a quite a while.

I joined the TTP server and promptly got my butt shot off as I tried to figure out what was going on. (something about rescuing hostages). If you see me running around like a clueless idget feel free to call me on the mic and point me in the right direction!
