Thread: Eyewear for Gaming??? WTF!?!?!

ok so I was tooling around the esea website and I saw an add for these glasses called Gunnar and labeled as eyewear for gaming.

GUNNAR Optiks now available at select @BestBuy locations

Ok seriously wtf. Please tell me no one here would seriously consider buying a pair of these just for gaming.......

i made a post bout this on ots but i would maybe consider it if it did have the effect of reducing eye strain and helping vision

They look like normal glasses to me. Personally I probably couldn't do it. I'm nearsighted so I need my glasses only to read things at a distance. If I wear them when I'm on my computer they tend to hurt my eyes even though it is a slight prescription.

If I see them at Best Buy I might actually try them on just to see if there is any "special" effect or bonus to wearing them but most likely I wouldn't waste the money.

I'd buy em. I'm an Eyewear freak. "I wear my sunglasses at night" But i actually have a night pair, a day pair, snow pair, driving, night driving, Road trips, Hangover glasses, and of course the beer goggles.

Not going to lie I get a lot of eye strain from looking at my computer for long periods of time. I'd be interested to see if these things actually work. For $79.99, I would hope that they do something. And it's not like your going to be wearing this in public. I would only wear them in the privacy of my home when I know no one is watching. lol.

No idea why anyone would need that. My vision is off, but I have no problems seeing my screen clearly w/o any corrections.

Creative showed this off a few years ago at CES, they are suppose to prevent eye strain. Don't really change the fact that you pupils are focusing on the same position for hours on end.

also probably expensive as hell but you can get a Rx version of them as well
