More importantly, will we be able to have an icon on main page & main forum page to indicate when the radio is broadcasting? With the new forum layout it's virtually impossible to see if it's on or not. Could we set up a 'broadcasting' button for dj's to push when they are online?

Just want to add that the DJ's should talk a little between songs, and a little during the intro, otherwise it just sounds like an iPOD shuffle.no sayin?

Riot is a good example of a good DJ.

Yea, perhaps we should have that feature at either the bottom or the top of the forum. It would also be an idea to have the radio automatically play as soon as someone opens the forum like a sort of streaming so that people are more aware and likely to listen to it.

We'll get something up that shows the server status, the DJ thats playing, which song is playing atm, etc.

While I agree that talking on air and being interactive with the listeners is a good DJ trait, it isn't required in this case. Our goal at this time is to have more than two DJ's, so the restrictions have been lowered a bit. If you can play music and interact with members using the forums, instant messenger or IRC, then thats fine.

The one good thing about SAM is that you can create play lists and have it catch 'dead air'. We'll work on having pre-set lists to cover dead air and hopefully be able to take turns and not have one person always covering the dead air.

SAM is also good so that someone can take over and if they drop, SAM will pick up the dead air on it's own.
