Re: Favorite strats/callers
I've called throughout a map many times, though find if you rotate mid game sometimes it can have an increased effectiveness. This is why I can/will shut down and try to get someone else to call after 3-5 consecutive wins. And yeah someone who just steps in out of no where when you have a multi-round plan in mind is a poor thing to do -- can only understand it when a leader isn't utilizing the teams attributes (as mentioned earlier). Even then, it's better to make suggestions, which I will most likely take and go with.
My favorite callers tend to use a strong mix between well timed strait rushes, and "pick a few" to audibles (like Smoken/Irish) like to do. I try to do this, but my play-style tendencies and strengths get me too wrapped up into the action for me to calmly make snap audibles (that and usually get me killed).
Fav calls are on nuke. As pretty much any action from Ts on that map, other then picking, requires a great deal of well timed execution and balls. It's so easy to look the wrong way, bounce a bad flash, and get raped. Same applies to most of inferno/aztec. The CTs can set up too easily, and there are so many locations to be on the look out for that those maps get my heart racing -- as any well run team will have get in position and execute FAST. A good caller on any of those three maps will keep that team adrenaline going. Usually, however, it grinds down to a continuous slow play (which I have been guilty of when it's working too well). I am not against a few, but three in a row and the map stops being exciting.

Yea, i don't mind people switching over to being the caller, when it makes sense and the person agree's they don't want to call no more. But what ive seen a couple of people doing recently is just randomly out of no where decide to start making calls when the team is doing fine with the current caller, i don't mind letting others make the call as long as they ask, lets learn some respect :l.

I'm guilty of that occasionally, although most of the time when it happens for me it's because whoever was calling keeps waiting till freeze time is up to make a call and I think noone is going to make one.
I've been trying to call less in general when I'm on to encourage/allow new people to call. Doesn't always work (I guess people expect me to call?) but sometimes people step up...I've seen SiLLy and a couple others step up and make calls.
