Re: Post a tip to improve the skill of the community
A slow play is meant to draw CTs out of their sites into your lines of fire. So it doesn't mean you camp like a pussy, but it doesn't mean you get to go solo into a site of your choice either. Slow plays require a lot more communication than most rush calls. So get to a choke point (like entrances to a site) stick with your team, keep your eye on the radar to see where the picks are (for your team and CTs) and relay that information to the rest of your team. The caller NEEDS this information in order to make a decision for the next move. So, you definitely can't be sitting in spawn to get this information, but you aren't helping if you are going rogue and dying in a site.
Slow plays are commonly seen as the "easy" play by a lot of players on the server, but they are anything but easy. They require way more coordination and communication than we give them credit for. Call out what you are covering, hold that position, relay the aforementioned information, and wait for the caller to make a play.
Edit: On a slow play please don't take bomb to the furthest place imaginable. Keep it close to the middle of your team and slightly back. Slow plays are the only plays I have seen it to be acceptable to drop the bomb. If you do so, make sure you drop it somewhere convenient for your team to pick up, and relatively safe in the event the CTs rush a site. Whatever "mid" is on a map is usually a good area to place the bomb. For example, on season, dropping the bomb in front of T spawn along the wall is a good spot so long as you are the one going to cover T stairs in middle.Last edited by Affinity; 07-17-12 at 01:13 PM.

You get better by playing AGAINST the best players, not BESIDE them. Nut up some time.

When you're dead watch what players you think are "hackers" do. You can see how they use radar and sound, and know where to preaim and prefire, it's called being better at the game, don't bitch and whine cause Luker or Lee just popped a bullet through your face.

Pay attention...? Sounds obvious, but some earnest concentration can actually help. For instance hear that shot down the hall? Yeah there is more comin most likely. Another plan accordingly. If you hear someone comin or you see them on the radar then best bet is to avoid them until you're in an advantageous position, like behind them. Or to their side. Another be mindful of range of vision. You CAN hide from people but you have to stay out of their field of vision, and crouch up to them for optimal silence, and pop a cap in there ass. Dats all i got. Be like a ninja.

Don't play in pubs.
Team work and aiming properly is the only way to improve.
TPG is the best thing if you don't wanna go pro.

Don't be afraid to die. Once that fear is gone, you will not be selfish and help the team more, thus winning.

If you aren't on TPG then make sure that you are playing on 24/7 office servers, preferably with $16000 + alltalk on (no awp/auto obviously), so that you can practice using a para. Buy both para and duelies so that you have as many bullets as possible.

Rtv does not enable god mode cheat codes, you do sadly have to play the level.
