Articles or Help Stickies?

I think that help stickies like this one shown here would be of great help to the newer players. I myself have no idea how to create such things, but if someone does know how they should volunteer. I'll help them out with some routes or whatever...

Yes, that could also work. Though you would have to do it when the server isn't full.

Hey look you are the guys that want more people to join the server how about some readme's to help entice new players?  I know I have bought games before because a sticky or article looked really cool and got me interested in the game.  Additionally I can talk to people all game asking questions but it distracts from the gameplay and I feel bothersome.  Some things I could have used before ever attempting to play is map overviews, tips and tricks, good beginning kits etc.  There may be 3rd party guides already out there and those would be good to sticky too.  I don't need to know how to fire a gun that's not what I was asking for.

I wrote a COD4 article and if this doesn't get you interested in the game nothing will.  I would help write one for DOD but I don't know the game yet.

I understand how you feel but almost all the free time most of us have is going to prime the server, you have no idea how bad the server was going before more ttpers started helping out and i am thankful for that... Like i said our priority right now is keeping the server alive and honestly i think you will learn a lot more but just playing with someone experienced trust me
