    RE: SERVER HAS CRASHED NEED REBOOT

    I restarted it after the update so that the new maps would be in the mapcycle and map vote function. Should be fine. If there are any problems let us know.

    RE: SERVER HAS CRASHED NEED REBOOT

    Hmm... what a difference 20 minutes makes... I connected to TTP1 and TTP2 both let me join the game but I kept waiting after I selected the Team and player class ... It just told me prepairing to respawn. SO I waited and then waited longer ... It never spawned me in.

    It is working for now. The map cycle is Colmar and Jagd with no map vote for now.

    Sample ships

    Greetings gang. I decieded to create a thread with known ships and then their conversions into Traveler.

    The first ship is actually an unknown but big (nukes scale of things) so I though I'd use it as my first example.
    all images and information can be found on this website (it even has a guide to the ship there)
    http://www.dcmstarships.com/gallery-leviathan-2.html

    SGN Leviathan - by David C. Meuller

    Code:
    SGN Levaithan - R - V3313J4 A06909-05500 - 0  MC=781461.7244  Tons=543000
                           Bat:      C  C6                        Crew=2100
                           Ber:      12  126                        TL=15

      Passengers=900  Cargo=51421.8 Fuel=342090  EP=16290
      Troops=24  Bridge(s)=1 Capacitors=32580 Agility=1
      Launch Facilities: Ship may Launch 55 craft a turn
      Ship Craft:
      20 Repaircraft (9 tons)
      10 Small Shuttle (36 tons)
      6 Large Shuttle (89 tons)
      6 Gunboat (54 tons)
      1 Probeship (1071 tons)
      1 Gunship (1214 tons)
      19 Lifeboat (157 tons)
      4 hangerbay/dock port (2000 tons)
    Now to get the tonnage of the ship I was able to use the cubic volume of the various sections (see website) and get it's total volume. In traveler a ton is 14 cubic meters (space displaced by 1 ton of helium) and I had to work out a ration of converting his metric tons to Traveler tons. Using excel I worked out the ratio of volume/metric ton was 2.5 and his metric ton/traveler ton was 5.6. I was then able to calculate the volume and traveler tonnage of the small craft using that ratio (and why the tonnage of the small craft are odd numbers.

    I also cheated on the lifeboat (making it a small craft over 99 tons but that was the only way to get it's passenger count accurate)

    Code:
    Small Craft:

    RepairCraft - UV - 0303311  000000-00000 - 0  MC=4.3  Tons=9
    Crew=2  Cargo=1.7  Fuel=1  EP= 0.27  Bridge:Y  Agility=3  TL=15
    Short Range Only

    Small Shuttle - UY - 0603312  000000-00000 - 0  MC=10.2  Tons=36
    Crew=18  Cargo=5.9  Fuel=1.08  EP= 1.08  Bridge:Y  Agility=3  TL=15
    Long Range

    Large Shuttle - UY - 0603312  030000-20000 - 0  MC=25.1  Tons=89
    Crew=46  Cargo=15.5  Fuel=2.67  EP= 2.67  Bridge:Y  Agility=1/3  TL=15
    Long Range

    Gun Boat - EG - 0106A11  1500000-05000 - 0  MC=55  Tons=54
    Crew=4  Cargo=14.3  Fuel=5.4  EP= 5.4  Bridge:Y  Agility=6  TL=15
    Long Range

    Life Boat - QL - 060113  000000-00000 - 0  MC=27.2  Tons=157
    Crew=175  Cargo=8.5  Fuel=1.57  EP= 1.57  Bridge:Y  Agility=1  TL=15
    Long Range

    Star Ships:

    Probe Ship - LL - A6336C2 000000-06000 - 0  MC=1312.8736  Tons=1071
                         Bat:         2                       Crew=12
                         Ber:         2                         TL=15

      Passengers=0  Cargo=41.13 Fuel=706.86  EP=64.26
      Troops=-3  Bridge(s)=1 Capacitors=64.26 Agility=3
      Launch Facilities: Ship may Launch 1 craft a turn
      Ship Craft:
      1 Small Shuttle (36 tons)

    GunShip - QG - A636BC2 F00000-06300 - 0  MC=2094.982  Tons=1214
                      Bat:         42                     Crew=17
                      Ber:         42                       TL=15

      Passengers=0  Cargo=34.46 Fuel=497.74  EP=133.54
      Troops=-4  Bridge(s)=1 Capacitors=72.84 Agility=6
    And for a scale of how big a 550,000 ton ship is:

    I'll be posting other ships (more common to all of you) in the next few days.

    Sample ships

    now for one we all know about.

    I found an interesting site giving volumetrics of various starships
    http://www.st-v-sw.net/STSWvolumetrics.html
    and found that some ships were smaller and others bigger than I had thought

    Millennium Falcon

    Code:
    Millennium Falcon - JF - 2652551 000010-30000 - 0  MC=444  Tons=280
                                Bat:        2                  Crew=2
                                Ber:        2                    TL=15

      Passengers=4  Cargo=20.2 Fuel=154  EP=14
      Troops=-14  Bridge(s)=1 Capacitors=28 Agility=1
    The Falcon is smaller than I orininally thought (I had it as a 400 ton ship but it's only280)
    You will also note that there's a negative troop number. This reflects the ship's skeleton crew and it's frequent breakdowns. It can only man one of it's turrets if it has no passengers also due to crew shortages.

    It's phenominaly fast (with jump 5 capability) making it far faster in hyperspace than the impearial ships (jump 3)
