Thread: Pick up game 5/11

No rematch. That match wasnt over... but whatever, I offically am.

I believe the purpose of these matches was threefold:
1. A way for the regs to have some fun match-like games
2. A way to get people on the forums playing DoD
3. A way to get people playing DoD on the forums

It seems to that some people are taking the game way too seriously. This is not a CAL game or even an OGL ladder game. The game should only be taken seriously while you are actually in the game. Play hard. Beat the other guys. But afterwards, it does not mean anything other than a good time. We should be more like an adult softball league and all go out for beers after the game, no matter who wins.

I understand what you are saying, Gumby... but I am just aggrivated because the past two games, nobody new stepped up as captian, so I volunteered. Also, the past two games have ended terribly for me... the first with jackasses finding the password to the server and the other with my power going out.

The main reason I am there is to have fun... needless to say, the past two games were not fun for me... more like frustrating. When I play, I play to win. If I lose and we tried our best, then thats fine... but when these "unforseen events" keep happening... it just ticks me off a bit, and it is nothing against any person or team in particular... just bad luck during the past two games.

To add to it, when someone comes in and calls the other team a "joke"... is just wrong. Each week over the past few months, there has been a winner and a loser. Not once has the other team come back to the forums and called the other team a "joke", regardless of the circumstance.

Like I said, I totally agree with you, Gumby... But when a random team sabotages your softball game, or a power outage prevents you from playing the last 4 innings... it gets frustrating... which is why I wish we could have a rematch... its just not worth the trouble.
