Ideas for Left 4 Dead 3

Ok, so we completed the L4D and L4D2, now lets talk about 3. As we've all seen in the Parish in L4D2, the military is killing carriers. I think it would be a great idea to have us against military in L4D3. Finally we'll get some human on human action and gun battles in L4D series. The idea would be that we play as another group of survivors/carriers and got caught onto the battleship and got locked in the cage. as the military starts to killing survivors, we'll have to fight our way out along with the help of the guys from L4D2 once we rescued them. After we head toward the zombie infested America (yup welcome back zombies.), we'll start heading toward safe zones (such as those towns in the tv show The Walking Dead.) while military is sending troops searching for us. We'll even have one map with zombies vs military vs the players/survivors. It's gonna be a free for all games. We also get to choose to play as either the military with weapons such as SAW machine gun, hand grenade, flash bang, m4 and mp5, survivors with the good old m16, ak, axes and chain saw, or the special infected. It should be an interesting game.

I like the idea... It would make a much more deadly game vs the military though. It should probably be an NPC entirely. Leave the SV and SI to be human controlled.

Also thought that it would be a neat idea to have the SV have a chance of getting infected if they take damage from common. Maybe a 10% chance every time they take more than a few points of damage. And if they get infected it's only a matter of time before they change into an SI. If they change, for that map at least they are treated as dead and the player switches sides and plays as SI. So the SI side could have more than 4 players at any one time.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

not the bad idea. the downside is that if we got a whole team of noobs as survivor and all of them turned special infected, then who's gonna left to complete the chapter? dont say it wouldnt happen, i've seen some people are really noob like that. not to mention that according to the story line, we supposed to be "carriers" of some sort and we're technically immune but able to infect others if we get too close with them. that's why military is killing survivors in the last chapter of l4d2. but with that being said, the whole turning into SI idea should apply to the military.

the military have superior fire power and get access to weapons such as m16 with m203 grenade launcher, m4, mp5, SAW, javelin anti-tank rocket, flash bang...etc, and they get access to it at the beginning of the mission but the downside would be that they move slower than survivors and they might turn into SI or even common infected if they're getting pinned down after certain period of time by hunter, smoker or charger...etc, as they're neither immune nor carrier, unlike the survivor. and the survivor can steal their weapons once they found out their outpost, chopper or personal carrier where they spawned and increase their fire power. their main goal is like SI, to stop players from complete the mission, but they need to worry about the infected and the returning fire by survivors.

and by doing that, it would be a great idea to have a sniper or someone who can camp in your team to deal with the superior fire power of military. or the survivors can play smart and let the infected and the military take each others out. (kinda like how the junk yard mission at modern warfare 2 work.). there will only be one or two campaign with military though. the rest would still be the survivors vs the infected.

    Story line for l4d3.

Ok, so we started out as 2 survivors and meeting up with the survivors from l4d2 in a cell on a military cruise. The survivors will be planning a riot and an escaping plan (This campaign will be mostly against the military, with occasional common infected as we infected the personal of the cruise unintentionally. There won't be too much enemy as it's the beginning). 6 survivors will jump on the life boat and ran away, except Nick (Yes, him lol.) and one of the guy from l4d2 will be shot by military sniper while they're escaping, which will left with 4 survivors.

The boat will somehow stop at zombie infested Miami and it will be a 3 way battle...the military vs the survivors vs the infected. They will be heading to the Keys via a fishing boat and meet up with the survivors from l4d1.

However, after a year of fighting off the raids from the military with the 2 new guys and one of the guy from l4d1 died in gun battles, they decided to head toward Cuba. They ended up in Guantanamo where the zombies has overran the place and the military sent troops to reclaim Guantanamo. (Yup, there will be terrorist zombies as the uncommon infected and they'll be blowing up and hurt other infected and survivors in the area when been shot.). Just as they escaped away from the Guantanamo, they will be rescued by 2 Cuban survivors/carrier and escaped in a van (From this point on, it's 6 survivors vs 6 SI in versus mode.). While they're fighting off the infected population of Cuba and running through the mean street of zombie-overran Havana. They hi-jack a chopper (One of the survivor happens to be in the Cuban military and know how to fly a chopper.) and hiding in an uncharted region of the Amazon and remaining a low profile.

Sound good huh? Tell me what you think.

    New Infected.

And the new SI: The original SI will still be around, but there will be some addition.

-The Knight: In a sense, it's kinda like the Jockey as they both riding on something, except it will be riding a tall infested man (not as big as Charger or Tank though.), and it's main attack is attacking the survivors and the military with a scimitar-like hand and deal a good 20 damage. Its secondary attack will be punching from the tall infested man. Its strength is that it will not die if the infected he rides get killed. It will just hop off and running around slicing survivors with its scimitar hand, unless the survivor got accuracy and killed the Knight while he's riding, then they just have to deal with the common infested. Its weakness is that it will be a bit harder to control the direction.

-The Chameleon: This is a good SI if you're into the whole camping thing. It has a slightly longer tongue than the Smoker and drain health faster. The biggest strength is well, as the name suggested, it can change color according to its environment, making it hard to spot unless your eyes sharp enough to see that the wall doesn't look right. However, once it opens up its fanged mouth to attack, things will go a lot more clear. Its weakness is its weak hp. It can be killed in a few rounds. It definitely aint no tank.

The Stoner: This slow moving, fat SI re-defines chemical weapon. It's like a combination of Boomer and Smoker. While it doesn't blind and attract infected like the Boomer, it will blowing smoke into survivor's and military's face and make them move significantly slower for a certain period of time. It has a weak health, which serves as a strength and weakness, as it will release smoke that slow down player upon its death.

    Uncommon Infected:

-Terrorist Infected: Contacted in the Guantanamo. These infected will blow up once it's been shot.

-Sniper Infected: A fallen military sniper and a victim of the Green Flu. It doesn't snipe like what it used to do prior to infection. However, it wear ghillie suit and hiding in grassed and dark area, lying on the ground. It will run into survivors/military once it's been contacted.

-Mobster Infected: A former Mafia member that survivors contacted in Miami and Havana. It's pretty much like the common infected, except it hit harder.

-Farmer Infected: Contacted in a coconut plantation in Cuba. These former Cuban farmers will hop off from the coconut tree and attack the survivors from the side. Be careful when you're under a coconut tree.
