Re: DOD:S ADMINS NEEDED!
admins are expected to play as much as possible, police the servers inside and out which includes cleaning out the cheats, assholes and non-conformers. So priming and game play are as important as policing the server.

You might not use it but anyone can that has the login info for the server.
Are you using a control panel for it? Which one?

So you use Lonestar which is command line based. HLSW can still be used even if Lonestar is installed. HLSW is simply a GUI for the default admin options for all half life dedicated servers, no matter the game.
Looks like the positions have been filled. I applied didn't the position...no hard feelings on my end.

The positions haven't been filled, we're always looking for admins. Where did you see that the positions were filled?

What I said about the positions being filled is a nice and professional way of saying "I see that I'm not going to get it."

Re: DOD:S ADMINS NEEDED!
It also means I would reject it if it were offered.
HLSW can still be used in stride with Lonestar. It may be easier and faster to kick or ban someone from the server for some people with a button or right click and select "kick/ban" than it is for them to type "admin_kick <target> [<reason>]" ...especially with some of the ascii some players have managed to put in their names these days even though it's not supposed to be available.
I would use a combination of the two depending upon various circumstances. That would probably make me a valuable member of the admin team.
It shouldn't matter how someone does it. What should matter is that it gets done.
