Ya but in CS:S everyone usualy goes the same way and with a whole team tossing nades you can get alot of quad kills or even more if your lucky. In DoD you can clear a point with two nades but that dosnt guarantee victory. In CS:S if you pop 4-6 people with team nade spam your team has a really good chance of rolling a round.

In CS:S people get to buy armor. In DOD:S there is no armor hence the higher damage with nades. It's actually more "realistic" that nades will do more damage in DOD.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

The one thing I do like about DOD is the fact it is more realistic with nade damage.

you cant really compare the two games but their updates have toned down the nade damage considerably for each. quads in dods is a toughie, especially when your not using a cvap points for cues or a reference for placement.
also the dods rocket launched was neutered."..and i will sit right down, waiting for the gift of sound and vision.."
