Today's update will focus on SpaceMonkey's Alliance, a CFC alliance. They were the first target of this massive war that has kicked off, and thus have been under the most pressure. The cracks are intensifying. As of November of last year SMA had in excess of 5k members in alliance, and as of today they are under 2900, so close to half of the alliance is gone. Some was dead weight, and others were just hangers on, but they have also lost or kicked some quality people. Last night it may have come to the beginning of the end. One of their head diplomats, and possibly the only leadership figure liked by people outside of SMA, announced he had enough and left. Other leadership left as well, and now the common folk are following them out the door. Many both inside and out will be shocked if SMA lasts another week. Not that I wish for SMA to die, but anything that helps the CFC to crumble is a victory in my book.

We may be early. Last night the IHUB in VFK was destroyed and replaced. Both the TCU, a module that controls ownership of a given system, and the station are reinforced. VFK should be out of goon control before the weekend. They have all but conceded, so for the most part we are in cleanup mode.

Both VFK, the ancestral home, and YA0, the actual home for the last couple of years, fell without a fight. Goons/CFC have retreated to low sec, and now just do harassment fleets as opposed to fighting for their land. Yesterday FCON, another CFC alliance, announced they are leaving the CFC and striking out to do their own thing. That means since the war has started one alliance flipped sides, and two others have left the CFC. Granted, some corps from each of these alliances will join either goons or other CFC alliances, but the impact is still felt. The main point of interest going forward is how the map will shake out when this war is officially over.

Yeah, the original article was even more hilarious. The author tried to claim that a gambling site that allows you to win in game items that have no real world value was illegal. The best part is that if true then goons would also be in legal hot water because 1) they are notorious for scamming people out of things in game(which would be theft if space pixels had real world values), and 2) they tried to run their own gambling site for a while, but it failed miserably.
