Anyone else using that newest nvidia driver and a 1080 with this game? The game seems to perform great.. but every so often it will drop to 1 fps .. could be indoor, outside, all sorts of locations.. and you have to cancel the game in the manager and not play it again for awhile to be able to go back in.. as long as you wait at least 15-30 after closing it out in task manager you can continue playing for a random amount of time before it happens again, could be an hour or several hours.. *scratches head* could have saved in the exact area having the issue even and play fine afterwards.. doesn't matter only happens with this game and only since the driver update

And eventually found the answer... in version 1.3 of the game itself, nvidia in collaboration with the game devs introduced weapon debris (the short of it, is when explosions blow things up there are an untold # of debris with this setting under the advanced tab checked, each with it's own shadows, etc) I didn't think about people shooting rockets, or a fat man, or mines, etc as any sort of a problem then the obvious one till I came across an article describing this in another forum and it solved my issue and gave a great boost of fps as well... worth turning off i think for anyone as you don't really notice the lack of debris after a while
