To truly max it out you want to make fortify enchanting potions to enchant fortify alchemy and smithing equipment(use falmer helm + circlet for 2 +29% alchemy enchants). By using the fortify enchant potion you're enchants will be stronger, allowing you to create a MORE powerful enchant potion which lets you make MORE powerful enchants for smithing and alchemy. I beleive the highest bonus to those you can have on your gear is +29%. Once you reach that create a fortify smithing potion while wearing all of your alchemy gear(this should be roughly +145% smithing...it can be slightly higher but only adds 5 pts of dmg or less). Once you have that potion, wear all of your fort smithing gear and then take the potion and upgrade your weapons/armor. Once you have all your crafting perks it takes about 10 minutes to do all of this assuming you have the materials.
edit:
Also, the total weapon damage takes into skill increase enchantments. So if you have 200% skill increase for Bows on your gear....the bow damage done reflects that. Maximize your % increase with the fortify enchantment potions(I think 37% is the highest you can craft).Last edited by iLLusioN; 01-26-12 at 11:56 AM.

Re: Skyrim weapon damage
I gotta ask what are the actual bonuses to being a werewolf? I AM one but I never use it. The two times iv turned into a werewolf (1) was fighting 5 guys and got whooped up on, was able to escape thanks to speed though, I havnt completed all the quests related to werewolfism though so maybie I need to go further down that line. (2) was just messing around in whiterun and went on a rampage sneak killing things then werewolf mauling the unkillables.

Shapeshifted
Edit
Your damage is base 20 and levels with you gradually until level 45, where base damage is 80. While as a Werewolf you also gain 100 health and stamina, not to mention a much higher sprint speed that makes you faster than anything else in the game and can be utilized for long periods of time. Your stamina also regenerates much faster, and your power attacks are magnified. The standing and moving power attacks knock back opponents more often, and your sprinting power attack gains a massive damage boost. You also have a chance to maul an opponent after knocking them down.
You can transform at will, during day or night, and under the veil of Beast Form your actions do not count towards your normal self's bounty. The exception is if anyone sees you shifting forms in which case a 1000 coin bounty is added to your head in the appropiate hold. This makes it incredibly useful while doing many Dark Brotherhood missions.
Wolves treat you as an ally unless you strike them.

Re: Skyrim weapon damage
No it does not, my bad. I was critting frequently with Valdr's dagger, but also with my sword, I was going so fast i assumed the dagger was critting the whole time. In any case anything in the one handed tree that does not specify a weapon type applies. So the Power Attack perks, dual wielding perks, and armsman.
