    You're talking about via the carriage? If so you've spent ALOT of extra time running around lol. Not that thats a bad thing...I do it some now still because some of the mods I have make it challenging to do so. After my first character though...fast travel ftw.

    went to falion, filled a black soul gem, he did the ritual on me and now I am no longer a vampire.... awesome!!!

    Keep tabs on your Active Effects.. whenever you contract a disease it will show up there and you can use a shrine or cure disease potion to cure them, including the vampirism precursor (Vampiris Sanguinaris or something like that). People in towns will notice you've contracted a disease also, and often make comments about it as you pass by. That's how I usually end up noticing I've caught something.
