Re: Sniper Elite V2 Discussion Thread
Ha ha, well the second one is much better. They actually supported the PC players on this one (not that they didn't on the first one, it was PC only). No mouse acceleration, or mouse lag and it's a third person shooter! How often does that happen!? NEVER. :-D
Oh and don't forget, the PC version is the only one with multiplayer, WOOT.Last edited by Vexon; 05-03-12 at 09:36 PM.

Re: Sniper Elite V2 Discussion Thread
I really wanted this game to be good. However, I just played the demo and was very disappointed. First off, the demo gave me absolutely no tips or tutorials on how to play. I had to figure out the controls on my own via the options. I also had no idea what I was even supposed to be doing(aside from going to the marker), or how I was supposed to do anything. The demo just plopped you into what looks like the middle of a mission with no clear path to get to your objective. I'm hoping that was just a demo flaw, but you'd think that you'd be flooded with helpful hints as to how best to play/think. Especially for a demo.
But my main problem was with the movement, it's clunky in a bad RE kind of way. I have no problem with over the shoulder shooters, as long as they are done right. Idk why devs stick to one shoulder for most games like that. Everything is oriented from the left, which makes looking around corners to the right impossible. Also, since the camera is based off of the character(on the left), the mouse feels weird since its being controlled from your right. So everything feels off when you move the camera around. There needs to be a button to toggle what shoulder the camera is over.
With that said, the aiming on the sniper was fun. Keeping your heart rate down, guessing bullet drop, ect. was all well done, and I guess that's really the main selling point. The visuals were really neat, graphics are actually really well done. It showed me of what DOD could look like if it was on a better engine. I just couldn't get past the clunky movement/camera controls, and lack of knowledge of what I was supposed to be doing and how. But that's just me.

Re: Sniper Elite V2 Discussion Thread
The stuttering and low fps was fixed in the full game, and so was the mouse acceleration and mouse lag. The real game also explains a bit more, and if you want the option to go from the right shoulder, if you go to the forums for Sniper Elite V2, the Dev's have been very good at listening to the community. My brother asked them to fix the mouse acceleration and mouse lag, and it was done within two days.
