Thread: Need Help with Quest.

So Im doing "Find the copy of War of the First Council" quest and the damn thing is bugged. I have the book in my inventory, BUT i cant finish the quest and it keeps on sending me to a fort I have already cleared. Suggestions?

Did you get the book from clearing the fort? Or did you happen to already clear the fort prior to the quest and get the book elsewhere previously also? Quest items can be placed in a location after you have cleared it. Also, quest items can sometimes be a specific copy of a book or item. So even if you had a ____ in your inventory, it wants a specific copy to be removed from a location. This is not the case with all quests involving retrieving items though...

If indeed it is the book from that fort, likely the dialogue got broken... You could use the console to skip the quest forward in this case likely. Although that means looking up the console codes
