I'm getting pumped about this game now, first one I've been excited about in a long while.

I'm gonna make a merc unit for this, gonna have a planetary conquest system like WoT clan wars but everyone is involved instead of just clans. Should be neat.

wait, when did Catapults get jump jets? heh. Seriously though, this game looks amazing. Those LRM launches were exactly like what I imagined them to be 25 years ago while playing Battletech

Its all based on tabletop load-outs and ranges, so yeah catapults have always had jumpjets :P.

Basically all the variants before in game 3049 are going to be in game for the mechs they have.

Like this is a different chassis than the normal Catapult, the Catapult - K2 with PPCs instead of missile racks.

Gumby- there is a free tabletop you can play online called Megamek and if you (or anyone else) wants to give it a shot let me know.

Oh, did I mention that Mechwarrior Online is going to be Free to Play? Going with something akin to league of legends style purchasing, but with world of tanks style round play.

I never used Catapults much. I figured for 5 more tons, I could get an Archer and have better LRMs and hands for grabbing the nearest tree and going Louisville Slugger on their asses if they got too close. I would have preferred the 3025 level tech, but 3049 is cool too. I just do not want to see any OmniMechs.

Well once the clans invade we will have a few omnis, though I'm sure even they will be expensive for anyone not playing as an Inner Sphere Mechwarrior. They are going to do this on a 1 day rl = 1 day game, so it will be a bit before the clans arrive.

Unseen have been put on hold, so no archer, marauder, warhammer, etc at least for now. Mostly Inner Sphere older mechs to start.

The only Unseen I ever really liked was the Archer. I need a mech with hands. Trees are my friend. Batter up!
