    Level Cap

So, was looking through the achievements. One of them is for equiping items to all slots that are "level 60 or higher." I think that means that expansions might increase the level cap. That might also mean that there will be more skills, passives, etc. Should be interesting if that's the case.

    Re: Level Cap

well its expected that the level cap will increase with expansions however with the expansion there will be new achievements.

What you are seeing as level 60 or higher is the level of the item not the level of the player. Items have levels as well and it does not necessarily match the level of the player using it.

For example legendary items that you get at the end of the game (inferno) are higher than level 60. The item level itself is not always clearly shown but you will see the "required level". An item that is level 63 might have a required level of 59.

Yeah, the lingo for that was ilvl in D2. I assume it is the same in this one. Iirc, loot tables are based off the range of ilvl of items the designers want mobs/chests/jars/etc. to drop.

In D2, Nhiarlothtep(holy shit I could never spell that) had a loot table that included the highest ilvl in the game. There were a few items that Baal could not drop, but this guy could. One such item item was the storm thresher weapon. It had a unique that I think was called Stormspire which kicked so much ass. Always wanted one for my druid.
