    Ok, so I sort of like the speaking, as it means I can have my second monitor to like the Dayz map or something and still know that someone joined the channel, what I want though is to only have it tell me someone joined my channel, as hearing everyone in BF3 gets annoying. How would I change this?

    Settings>Options->Notifications: mainly the selections under the "Client" tree if I remember correctly. You can look at the applicable sound scripts when you expand the selections/trees to get an idea of what you want enabled/disabled.
