Re: Inferno farming idea
They nerfed the increase in damage that the monsters used to gain, but the health bonus remained the same.
Also, I just remembered another negative for partying. On top of all the monsters increasing in life by 100% per player, you also get more elites spawning in the groups without providing any additional loot. So even if everyone in the party does the exact same damage, partying together will cause you to take longer to kill these groups from those added monsters.

Re: Inferno farming idea
Sorry, this idea was for people who are able to survive in inferno to some degree but all their gear doesn't have any gold or magic find. Some of us are surviving it but the gear has no bonuses for either. Idea is to get one with all the bonuses and the others use their standard gear. Idea isn't for people who have higher end gear for inferno with magic find...

Re: Inferno farming idea
I still haven't bought any of my current gear :P Just did a lot of speed runs of butcher/jailer with 5 stacks. Hardly any MF gear.
And it might be worth it for the party as a whole, but that one player with all the MF gear is getting screwed in this deal.

My 250% mf set was put together for less than 1 million. I have a 200-200% gf/mf set I put together that I could do act 1 elites, but not do Butcher with, that I paid less than 600k total for. A trick for the up and coming 60s or lower geared people is to get a set with at least 100% magic find and then get your checkpoint in the Warrior's Rest in the Drowning Temple area and set yourself up with a max dps passive and long cooldown damage abilities. You can log in and out and blow your pixelated load all over a guaranteed rare pack with a high chance of a shrine or hp pool and a chest. I still do this to relieve my boredom of treasure goblins or butcher runs. A couple of weekends ago I went on a crazy good drop run (1 set item, 1 legendary, a host of 500k-1m rares) and made almost 5 million in one hour, however, I was sitting at 225% magic find in gear logging in and out about every 3-5 minutes.
SO tl;dr synopsis: Solo'ing is more efficient in general. Grouping can be just as efficient. If you are just getting to Inferno there are a lot of options so don't dismay.
I'm one of those people that don't mind sandbagging in hell or act I inferno in full mf/gf gear for people that can't afford it and survive so if you need help or want a partner for the grind just add me (TheRudeMood#1821) with text saying who you are and what you'd like to do.~The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all worlds.
