Merged.
Assassins Creed is always a good choice. Followed by Batman: Arkham games. Then chase that with some Crysis and it's expansion. Then you can try some Far Cry 1, and then some of 2. If you still need a runner, go after some BioShock, or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. If you still need more, Grand Theft Auto IV is a time dump like none other (Just Cause 2 can be an excellent substitute). Spec Ops: The Line is also an excellent choice, as well, but is shorter lived than other single player entrees. Or if you want mindless run and gun and spray and prey that lasts for eternity, the Serious Sam games are the way to go. You could also play all the Star Wars Jedi Knight games, following the life and times of Kyle Katarn, the ultimate Jedi Badass. Torchlight is very excellent, lasts a while too, if I remember. Metro 2033 if you want something more STALKER like but more modern. Mirrors Edge is fun to try and master. Haters gonna hate, but I liked the new Medal of Honors campaign. Mass Effect 1 and 2 are also nice and long. And there is always the classic Half Life and it's expansions.
