Lighting a Flame for BF2
So I decide to get back into the BF3 and notice that server pop has been dead just about every time I had a look this last week. Game is not even a year old and it's already dying.
This got me thinking about Battlefield 2 and its nearly six year reign of full pop server. Say what you will about shitty old graphics, but how awesome is it that BF2 kept adding new players and had a huge group of regulars still joining years after it was released. I doubt there will ever be another game like it.

Re: Lighting a Flame for BF2
No surprise. People can say what they want, but no VOIP killed it. Fuck teamspeak. Many times I would see the servers full and 7 people in TS. It was a partial fix.
I miss the days of BF2 where people would speak in almost any squad.

Re: Lighting a Flame for BF2
A lot of people feel this way.
What do rate the chances that we could gather a solid posse and go on a raid?

Re: Lighting a Flame for BF2
What do you mean BF2 HAD an awesome run? Itīs still running. Shit, Iīve gotten back in game and there are still 64 player servers full almost all day long. New players and a buuuunch of regs like Roogayroo, CLeanfreak, the SWAT guys, NME guys, deathcow etc. etc. A BUUUNCh of regs. And it is STILL AS FUN as it ever was!
