Funny, I keep seeing devs say they have no PLANS to do it right now, never have I seen them say that it will not happen ever. They are all the same engine, it is entirely possible to have it done. The new physics system in WoT is coming straight out of WoWP.

Re: World of Warplanes
G: With World of Warplanes incoming and World of Battleships following, you’ll cover air, land and sea. Is there any chance, maybe in the far future, to see all three games truly joined with Tanks, Planes and Warships physically fighting each other on the same map?
At the same time, incorporating three “Worlds” within one map is simply impossible. World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Battleships will be absolutely different in terms of gameplay: air combat will be highly dynamic, naval action will provide for a thoughtful and somewhat slow game, and tanks lie somewhere in the middle. Besides, tanks, ships and planes have totally different levels of vulnerability. It’s no exaggeration to say tankers would get shot down by virtual pilots so fast they wouldn’t even figure out where the death came from, and pilots wold hardly have time to get a lock on a ship before getting dispatched with massive naval cannons. Not to mention, each type of warfare calls for a particular map size (1 x 1 km2 for tanks, 15 x 15 km2 for warbirds, and no less than 30 x 30 km2 for ships), and choosing an average number simply won’t do.
Wargaming.net has brought us World of Tanks, Battleships, and soon World of Warplanes. There has been the ongoing question of unifying the three titles into a grand arena for combat. Your FAQ mentions this briefly and we are wondering if this is something you still hope to pursue and if your current and future titles will be a part of this framework. Any thoughts?
Aleksandr Zezulin:As for a single battle arena with naval, ground, and air warfare – we plan nothing of that kind. The idea itself is great, but it’s just impossible gameplay-wise! Air combat will be highly dynamic, naval action will provide for a thoughtful slow game, and tanks lie somewhere in the middle. Not to mention how drastically they differ in terms of targetability: vulnerable to air attacks, tanks are not a patch on maneuverable warbirds, while the latter would hardly survive an attack of heavily-armed multiton naval giants.
One more difference that makes integration impossible are map sizes. How would you merge tanks rolling around 1 x 1 km fields, planes with 250 km2 arenas, and ships ranging over 40 x 40 km areas within one map? Or I’d better ask how long would it take for a tank to spot the enemy on a map large enough to fit all types of vehicles? Or even this way: with constant threat from the air and the sea will it last long enough to spot the enemy on the ground? I totally doubt it!

You also didn't need to come across as an ass about this either. I haven't broken ANY NDA. I read my shit, we are allowed to say we are in the WoWP beta. People need to stop jumping on peoples shit when they don't know crap.
And those were both over 3 months ago, yet there are devs on their forums that will post eluding otherwise vaguely. Besides, if that War Thunder game REALLY will have all 3 in a battle, then I don't see how Wargaming will not try to be competitive to that.
Also, Warthunder only has anything pertaining to planes, so I don't get where you got that from.

Re: World of Warplanes
Unless the NDA changed from alpha to beta, then comments like:
&
are against the NDA.
(But I s'pose it is very possible that the NDA has changed)
*shrugs*
One of the joys of the internet I guess. Things can be read however they want to be read.
I was only trying to clarify incorrect information. Information that unjustly inflates peoples unreasonable hopes.Last edited by Blah64; 10-10-12 at 11:11 AM.

Re: World of Warplanes
Not a fan of the genre. Not a fan of lots of things that I have NDAs for but I test them too. Didn't give anything away and if you want to report me go ahead but I am sure that they have better things to do than go after me on a rather obscure forum.
