While I'm aware of buying game-time aka membership subscriptions, I was more referring to in-game items/accessories, like armor/weapons, etc..although come to think of it, RuneScape does seem to be introducing more and more ways of RWT that go against their rule of No RWT.

eh. I rest my case.

IN EVE you buy game time, in the form of a PLEX. You can then either use said PLEX to extend your game time by 30 or 60 days, or you can sell said PLEX for in game money, or isk. It is within the EULA for EVE. Not sure about other games though.
