Hawken - Free-To-Play Mech Combat

It's open beta and play for free.
Mech Warrior online meets Unreal tournament (with bf conquest mode). Much faster pace than mech warrior and streamlined gameplay make for really intense firefights.

I have had lots of fun playing this lately. The learning curve is steep for the first 1-4 hours of game time, but then it gets alot easier. Not easy on the noobs, but if you can make it through the first 5-6 matches without rage quitting and unistalling this could prove to be a good competitive game. Check the hawken forums for tips and tricks from the vets.

My tip: Learn how to use the dodge and avoid jetpacking in the air when in the middle of a firefight (easy target). Dodging is EVERYTHING in this game. Good aim is well rewarded as well. TOW rockets can be blown up in mid air by pressing the right mouse btn a second time.

Every upgrade in the game can be earned with hawken credits which you get by playing. The only exclusive pay for items are purely cosmetics. Pay2win it's definetly not as I have owned almost every round I've played with the recruit mech.
