Make a list and check it twice for your trip to Solstheim

The is rapidly running out on our wait. Dragonborn is on it's way, are you ready for your trip to Solstheim?

I know I'm gonna play like I'm stuck on the island. This will force me to use the new items, weapons, armor, and everything else new to the game.

I've smithed a good set of Steel armor, sword n shield, crossbow, hunting bow and 50 iron arrows.

Portable bed roll, tanning rack, tent, wooden chopping block, and a small cooking pot. A few firewood bundles and my fishing net.

Some charcoal to make torches and that's about it.

I'm going to be roughing it.

Set up a camp in the woods a stones throw from town. Mabye a few paces East of Raven Rock. And play the shit out of this DLC.

I've passed the 256 hour mark on the main land.

What about you folks, what are you packing for Solstheim?

Going to the island with nothing, going to treat it like a new world, no carry overs other than a tent, back pack and base steel weapon, and Armour.

I improved my iron armor and weapons with my special potion. Maybe I should melt it down and just make a regular set.

Yeah treat it like a new place! I will change my kit a bit and go backpack, tent, and rough spun tunic. Turning on frostfall too.... Oh man I can't wait!

Made some Iron armor for Lydia and I using only a 42% improved smithing potion. Didn't know there was an EPIC improvment level.

Stripped down everything in my pack. Weights about 55 pounds. Go my dog, got Lydia, few small camping things, and that's about it. 2 more epically long days. And then I have to wait until noon for DLC to be unlocked. So worth the wait from what Xbox folks are saying.

I would leave all companions, dawn guard had Serena, and she became irritating quick but she still was a new companion... I made a dragon bone bow, storm cloak officer Armour, a wolf skin cloak, 1 single hand blade, 1 Tent, and 1 pack. Going in as a level 40... I will have fast travel disabled and frostfall enabled, so first action will be get an ax and firewood as exposure could kill me before I leave skyrim... Set to hard core mode for a challenge!
