Ball Pit Dangers in Fast food restaurants.

The story is told through the eyes of a mother in Midland, Texas via email alerts. The mother, Lauren Archer, reported that on October 2, 1999, she took her son, Kevin Archer, to McDonald’s for his third birthday. He was allowed to play in the ball pit. Later on that day. I never knew of such things until last friday while at a McDonalds near my home when a little kid cut himself on what looked like glass, the parents were pretty mad to say the least. So I got to looking some stuff up on the internet and theres all sorts of horror stories out there on what is found in ball pits in local fast food joints. A friend of mine that used to work at the very Mcdonalds I was at, she worked there for 3 years, and said she never heard of the ball pit being cleaned out the whole time she worked there. Now Iam not parent, but I used to take my little nieces there. Not anymore. Even if these stories are not true. Would you want to chance it? I woudlnt.

Ronald McDonald is an evil clown...I wouldn't take my dog to the ones around here. They're nasty, and I've seen that cleaning isn't one of their strong points:nope: The little kids pee on all those balls ya know:lol:

I wouldn't be caught dead subjecting any children young enough to want to use a ball pit to McDonalds processed pap so it's rather a null issue for me but assuming McD's served something I'd feed to kids...

'If you can't see what's on the other side don't stick your hand in it,' that's by and large what we learned when we were younger. Sticking young kids in something you can't see through, well I wouldn't do it myself. Well maybe if the side I could see was a really large blender, there's an awful lot of kids I'd like to stick through that, but that's not quite the same.
Taking kids out to eat at all is a bit like sticking your hand into something you can't see through, I found something that looked suspiciously like blood halfway through the last thing I had from McDonalds.

On the other hand we live in a society where you inevitably end up putting your welfare in the hands of others a lot, if you get a microwave dinner the person at the factory might have mixed shit or drugs or whatever in with it. When you drive a car you have to show a certain degree of trust that the other road users aren't going to do something completely loony and kill lots of people. Though we probably don't think of it a lot our lives and those of the ones we take care of are constantly in the hands of others.

Risk taking is part of living, in the end I guess you have to weigh up the benefits of whatever enjoyment you think the child might get from the activity against the one in however many thousands get hurt from it.
Still it's an awful lot easier just to take them to do something else than worry about whether they're going to be the one in however many thousands or millions that gets caught out, it's not like they're missing out on some great ball pit right of passage or anything.

    update

We've added the Teamspeak 2.0.23.15 beta update into Cortex. Normally we don't use beta software in Cortex, but we made an exception for this as this new version has a number of security patches in it. Thanks to our forum community for the requests and support.

We've changed how Teamspeak superadmin passwords are handled in this update. From now on superadmin passwords are editable by admin level users only and are no longer written to the server.ini file, only the Teamspeak database. This update also removed duplicate superadmin password cvars, so double check your configs after applying this update if you've had more than one superadmin password field on your TS instance config forms in the past.

Head to your engines page to update your server. The standard Teamspeak client can connect to the new server version, but the current beta client can also connect if you choose to use it. See ya'll next time
    running update now.

    Re: update

Does this mean we are going to have to update it ourselves as well, or no...?
