Thread: It's about time steam!

I want to welcome steam to the party. Metro: Last light is finally on pre-order, now that every where else has had it ready for over a month and a half.

For those of you who haven't played Metro 2033, first off shame on you, and second I'd highly suggest playing it. It was a diamond in the ruff that, for the most part, went overlooked by gamers. It was filled with some really well done ideas and game play mechanics. Unfortunately, the game kinda fell short when it came to those mechanics but it's still a great effort. (I wanna say I wrote a review on it, but I guess not)

As an added bonus, the first game was loosely based off the book Metro 2033. I also highly suggest reading it. But back on topic Metro last light is $44 on steam.

Metro felt too much like every other game in the genre. I liked it, bu it wasn't unique. I got too bored with it and just stopped. Plus, it wasn't well optimized.

o.O idk where you got that. Metro had a story, a good one, but it fell through the cracks with it's lack of actually doing anything with what it had. There was a lot of really good ideas in the game that they never fully explored or mastered, and that was its downfall. I'm hoping that they fix that with the second one, cause it would have been a really good classic. With that said, buy the book and you won't be disappointed, it was good aside from some grammatical errors cause it was translated poorly from Russian.
