Stardrive looks phenomenal. This looks like a real heir to the Masters of Orion legacy. Ship construction is very detailed. Races are interesting and familiar at the same time (Kulrathi are a bear shogunate... Hrm... I wonder if the Bulrathi from MOO are honored or repulsed) Planet management and such appears to be very streamlined without dumbing it down to such a level as to be ridiculous.

I looked at like 2 minutes of gameplay video and immediately went to steam and bought it. It's 10% off this weekend too which makes it like 25 bux or something.

It's one major shortcoming... No multiplayer. I'm not sure why, but NO good space 4X in recent years has had any form of multiplayer. It's a crime, but it is what it is. The developer (who sounds like one guy in a garage somewhere) says that he IS going to address multiplayer and even had some rudimentary multiplayer in the game early on... so I'll cross my fingers there.
