DotA2 now F2P!

The game has been fun as hell, takes a long time to learn the ins and outs, but it is all worth it once you can start solo killing carries late games as a support. God i love this game.

Yeah, I am probably gonna like this game. Gonna try it once I get home tonight (home during lunch hour right now). I know I will like it simply based on the title of that article that Civil posted.

Yeah that article was helpful to me when I first started. Try to play with some of the TPG people as well. I know me, spaz, scrum, smoken, scotzo, pimp, mebad, pickle, idunn, aussie, and others are playing every night. Game is definitely easier to learn if you are playing with people who can teach and not yell at you.

Hey, new to this site. I was actually complaining in a game of Dota last night about how people rarely use their mics in game when someone pointed me in this direction. After searching for awhile I can't really find anything dota related other than this thread and an article haha. So whoever that was (sorry, I can't remember your name) I made it here

Don't know how serious you guys are about people pubing with your team, or whatever this is, but some background info: been playing dota(original) for some years now and finally got onto dota2 after it became F2P, prefer to play support/babysit or semi-carry/jungler. Heroes that I usually play in an all pick- Warlock, Lich, Lycanthrope, or Bounty Hunter. I generally only play on the U.S. west coast servers as I'm in the Army currently stationed in Alaska (thankfully moving down to the lower 48 in a couple weeks).

I've been in the Army for about 3 1/2 years (11b1p), and yeah, I enjoy playing dota with people who know how to communicate and have fun stomping on people. Feel free to add me on Steam (onkillin) or hit me up on here. I'll be checking in here randomly reading some of these articles and what not while I'm bored at work.

Welcome to TPG. Take a look around and see what we're all about. There is a group of us that do play dota together on a frequent basis. Add me on steam and we'll get you into a game sometime.
