    Europa Universalis IV

I could never get into any of Paradox's previous Grand Strategy games because they've never had a good tutorial, and there is just too much thrown at me at once and I always get overwhelmed before I learn how to play.

However, with EUIV, the multiplayer aspect is a major focus, and as such, I am determined to finally learn how to play this series!

Being released tomorrow, I was wondering if anyone else has bought it. I would love for someone to teach me how to play properly.

(From playing the demo, EUIV has greatly improved the tutorial such that I feel like I might actually be able to learn it now.)

For me whenever I play paradox I get sucked in but then quickly overwhelmed. Probably have 100+ combined but haven't finished a single campaign yet. Heard that EU IV is being simplified a bit. Not sure if I'm getting this.

For the most part, I figured out how to play.

There are just a few mechanics I don't really understand yet:
    -How battles work
    -How trade works

It is kinda annoying how important the Random Number Generator is to your ability to do anything

Meh, Paradox games combat is pretty much map painting, except for hearts of iron. of course.

Usually battles (at least in the prior games (EU3, CKII) was mostly about having the most people. There is some strategy, but again often was overcame by just throwing tons of troops at the other group (For CKII (I think?) Someone did a whole guide on how it is calculated etc.)

So how does this compare to EUIII. Rome II will probably take up my gaming time this fall but I might get this later.
