    Didn't see a post come up in the search, so guessing never posted about it. Anyways, when looking at Takedown awhile ago, heard about a game called Ground Branch that had a failed kickstarter but they were still working on it. With Takedown apparently being...err not good right now, and people talking in the forums about Ground Branch went to take another look.

    Seems similar in it is supposed to be a team-based tactical shooter, though from the promotional material released so far it looks to be more wide open then the SWAT style close quarters of Takedown (there is still going to be close quarters, again supposedly, but mixed in with a more openness it looks like). The multiplayer features listed, assuming they keep true on actually adding them, look pretty good. VOIP, dedicated servers, etc. The feature list admittedly isn't overally "wow," at the moment, though it sounds like quite a few things that will make it a good game if done right.     The thing that got me more excited is seeing the companies background, they apparently did art assets for Red Storm and Tripwire before, and work with the military and another company in developing simulation software.

    A couple quotes:
    Gameplay will be deliberate and calculated. Your gear choices, route choices, team plan and actions against the enemy will all play into your success or failure. Multiplayer games will be methodical with pockets of quick but intense firefights all the way to long drawn out engagements against an equally matched team. There is no artificial balancing, but the individual’s skill and decision making will be what allows them to succeed.

    The play spaces will be mixed with lots of outdoor areas and lots of indoor as well. The aim is to provide outdoor spaces that are not channelized and just cliff walls that make you feel like you are outside. On the flip side, we are also not going for the great open expanses that some “sandbox” games give you.

    They are supposed to (and may have already, I couldn't tell from the forums to be honest), doing a kickstarter again soon to get enough money to try and get onto Steam Early Access soon. Though one of the posts on the forum by the dev(s) mentioned they're also trying to find out if they'll have to go through greenlight first.

    Long post probably sounding a bit spammy aside, anyone heard/any experience with it? As I've mentioned before I love tactical shooters ( well loved SWAT 3 and 4, and RS 3 and Vegas) so these games get me excited and want to buy buy buy xD, so hoping this one will be a winner and take off once it finally gets something released, the background seems pretty good though people with more experience or memory of some of the art assets can chime in if it really is good or bad (They helped on RS: Lockdown, Ghost Recon 2, GRAW, GRAW 2, and RO2: Heroes of Stalingrad, according to their website).

    Meant to get to this earlier (saw it earlier) but well caffeine has a great ability to make you focus and type 1000's of words, yet forget where your pants are (not quite but get the point =p). They did a few videos on their youtube page that are supposed to be from the gameplay, I haven't checked all of them out to make sure, just one of the older ones. They seemed to like to show off their player models.
