Re: Rust Council of TPG
just a thought have one main base nothing to huge with a vault sorta room for the high end stuff and a common area for common materials and sleeping bags since theres only like 8 of us now and usally never more thrn 4 on at once and as room is needed we build housing around the main base so we are all in range but have more houses for more room and stuff
also it wouldnt hurt to be more friendly to us new people and show us the ropes and play with us some of you are great at it but some of you suck at it

Re: Rust Council of TPG
Man... I really want to like this game... and I do when I'm playing it. I just have a HUGE problem with the whole "you can be killed when you aren't even in game" thing. I might not play for a week or so at a time. And I go back to play and find out I've been wiped out when I wasn't even in game? That don't sit well and really saps my will to play the game. Kill me in game as often as you want. That's on me to deal with and I have a chance to get away. Destroy my shit when I'm not in game... I can deal with that. Don't like it but yeah that's reasonable. But not killing me when I'm not in game. That's a no go.

Re: Rust Council of TPG
This is precisely why a casual player should roll with a group. Its impossible to solo this game for any appreciable amount of game time if your not going to be on every day. Things decay in rust, more quickly without activity. Knowing there are 5 or six guys sharing your residence, defending and maintaining things, there is the piece of mind that your stuff, and your body are defended, and when you log back in your house isn't decayed to a foundation and 4 pillars, and your on the beach with a rock.

Reading all of this almost makes me want to buy it, but then I think back to ARMA, DayZ, Minecraft, and all of the other games I bought to play just because of TPG peeps that I don't even have installed anymore.

Re: Rust Council of TPG
I hear ya Civil. Its a tough game for the casual player as well, for the reasons stated in my last post. I remember your first DayZ experience, and i could see this being akin to that. There's no in game map, and a lot of the terrain looks the same... so getting in the same area as one of the groups can be a pain in the ass, just ask Moving target. Then it just takes time learning the lay of the land, where the hot spots are, where resources are, and where your likely to encounter zeds, radiation or hostile players.
