Cheap Places To Get Steam Games (and Origin games too)
Ok, so I'm bored and I've seen so many TPG'ers overpay for games. Here goes. Some of you may already know these sites, but I'm posting them all for the sake of those that haven't seen them.
CheapShark - Digital Game Deals, Compare PC game prices on Steam, Amazon, Gamer's Gate, and more!
This is a great site that'll tell you the lowest price for a given game across multiple sites. It'll even tell you if a game was at a lower price, than what's listed.
Cheap Video Game Shopping, Sales and Deals - Cheap Ass Gamer

An account is required to get your keys, but no biggie. I bought Papo & Yo here for $1.00, I also bought X-Blades here for $1.99. So, keep an eye out and you can find some deals
Indie Games for PC, Mac, Linux | ShinyLoot
Also requires account.

This one is kinda weird as they don't sell many games, but I was able to get a Steam copy of CoD4 for $5. So, keep an eye that one too.

Great site, pay what you want for bundles. I got Finding Teddy, Driftmoon, Dr. Who, and others for super cheap there.
Eleusis deal - Daily Royale
I didn't list urls for sites like:
Amazon
GreenManGaming
GetGames
Humble Bumdle
Indie Gala
Indie Royale
....because I figured most people already knew about them.
* Note: This topic will be updated, as I come across new sites.Last edited by Guyver; 01-09-14 at 10:41 PM.

Nice. But what are you concerned if people "overpay" for games. Just because these sites may save someone a couple of bucks if they wait for the game to go on sale, does not mean they overpaid. Sometimes paying a release day price is required to play a game ON release day.

In many cases, you don't have to wait for a sale. Buying on release day is overrated, especially if it's single player game. The game isn't going to change much (if at all) from launch to three or even six months down the road. I've only pre-ordered two games that I can remember: DoD:S and CS:GO. Besides who doesn't want to save money?
Also, it's more than a couple of bucks in most cases....80%-90% off.
I got Driftmoon for less than a $1, before it was even released on Steam, right now it's $10.49. I also paid less than a $1 for Finding Teddy...and got a Steam key, a week after it was released on Steam.
EDIT:

I don't buy enough groceries to bother with coupons.
Same with games.
A good game will last me 4 months to 3 years. I really only need a few a year and I usually buy them on sale whenever I can. Like most people on this forum I own 2x to 3x games in my library that I have never played.
I like to wait for a game of the year edition to come out. I get the game cheap with all the extras "after" everyone has found the faults with it."The bravery of idiots is bravery none the less."

Saving money is fine, but there are plenty of times when paying release day price (or close to it) is well worth it. This is especially true if you are the type of gamer that reads various gaming publications/web sites that build up hype over a game over the course of a year, and upon release all they don't stop raving about it. It is is easy to be pulled in to the "hype" based on how the game is being perceived by the various reviews.
I personally enjoy the excitement of the hype generated around game previews, trailers, and release day reviews. If they are good enough, then I will make the purchase that day.

In this case, I should have waited for a release day review, but yes, Guyver. And for this reason, I will NEVER, EVER purchase anything from Gearbox unless they are selling boxed vaginas. In which case, I will buy 10 of them for you. One for every year your tip was left dry.

Or more Borderlands stuff
I really enjoy buying from humble bundle. Not just cause, if I feel like it, I can pay 1$ for 3-4 games, but cause I really enjoy the charity they raise for. I usually put most(if not all) of my purchase to it. With that said, I love getting good games for cheap haha
Which BTW if anyone sees the last two Deponia games for cheap let me know. I should have grabbed them all when they were 2$ each last month.
